On a trip to White Pocket, Arizona, organized by myself and , this was shot under the Milky Way. It was about a two minute exposure, with 30 seconds captured at each of the 90 degree rotations. Jake Clayson is my model, and no light was added to this scene other than Gunnar's flashlight doing the backlighting, and the stars above.
This image was accomplished by mounting my camera to a device that lets me rotate it around the center of the lens while in the middle of a shot, so all of this was a single (long) camera exposure, and this was not created in Photoshop! :)
I didn't do the self introduction that well last time so i'm adding it one more time. I'm usually the one taking the pictures but I get in them on occasion. My main jam is light painting, but I dabble in infrared photography, and I play with mirrors, kaleidoscopes, and prisms as photography tools. I'm engaged to Nancy Nguyen, a 3D designer/animator who does motion graphics, and illustrations. At some point you'll see pictures of our cats (Miss Monster and Mr. Tomberry) and our two new rescue dogs (Cloak and Dagger).
