A diversity of life. King Penguins, Elephant Seals, and Fur Seals.
A penguin stands on the shores of a glacial river as an elephant seal makes its way out of the water. As the seal approaches the penguin, the penguin, un-phased by this large animal moving towards it, looks down and squawks in the face of the seal before stepping aside, clearly showing its annoyance in having to move from its proffered spot.
St. Andrews Bay, South Georgia.
Given the struggles of breeding time, it truly is surprising how well the different species coexist with each other. Fur seals, penguins, and elephant seals all walk next to each other, and it's only we humans that really seem to get in their way.
A stroll on the beach.
We could afford to learn something from these animals, like how to squawk in the face of adversity.
