4AM - the alarm rings and you aren't ready at all. 4.20AM your lazy body drags itself down to the coffee machine trying not to forget any of the steps to make coffee. Right, I do need a filter. It is still dark out, the world's asleep. Your gear is already packed up and waiting for action. Where's the headlight? Why am I doing this to me... Again. Let's do it. After an exhausting almost sprintish hike through the woods and up the cold iron latter that lead up the tiny paths to the summit. The higher you get, the first daylight tags along and slowly reveals the view. An ocean of clouds surrounds you. A surreal atmosphere since there is clouds below and above. Only the peaks are showing. The perfect time, mood and lighting to take some pictures. Tripod, camera, maybe a filter and a cup of hot coffee and there you go. All worth it. Saxon Switzerland, Schrammstein-Aussicht. This is when you realize how unimportant a life in the city can be. To me at least. You're on your way back, when the rest of the world starts to wake up.
