The first few photos are of Lake Minnewanka, located in Banff National Park, just 10 minutes driving distance from the Banff townsite. Minnewanka means "water of the spirits" in the Nakoda language. This is also the longest lake in the park, coming in at 21km (13mi) in length!
Most of these photos have been previously posted. I am reposting those photos in this "Best of Banff" series for the Newer users who haven't seen them yet. Some of those posts just "Slipped through the Cracks" without being seen by many anyways!
