The freedom of flying
Today was an awesome day to get out and take the drone over the lake. Here are just a couple of the shots that I was able to get. I was messing around with the video settings before I started taking these shots and when I got home, I noticed that they were all JPG images instead of RAW files, so my editing is severely limited on these shots. I will have to find out what happened to why these shots ended up being JPG files instead of how I normally shoot.
I was glad when I was flying around and spotted a boat off in the distance because I was getting bored of getting just landscape shots. This gave me a chance to try and do some fly by shots of a moving subject. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to do. Good thing I just go out and fly for fun because turning while keeping the boat in frame while also tilting the camera came pretty naturally.
The only thing I am going to have to look into is if there is a tracking focus setting that I should have been using because I think on the photo above I was focused on the mountains in the back and not on the boat. This could also be due to the video settings I was messing with right before going out and taking pictures of the boat.
All in all it was a pretty awesome trip out to the lake. It is always fun flying my drone and actually learning some stuff while I am doing it. Hopefully I can continue to learn more and more before I head out to Spain and take it up into the mountains to film part of my documentary.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my pictures and reading about my trip to the lake. You are awesome.
