English gardens - Madre Island ( ENG - ITA )

Hi Steemians! Here we come to my last post on the Borromee Islands.
Lastly I want to show you some shots that I had the pleasure to make in the gardens of the Madre island, the largest of the Borromee Islands, boasting 8 hectares of fabulous vegetation.
In 1502, after the island was redeemed by the diocese of Novara by the Borromeo family, the gardens were in sequence an orchard, then an olive grove and finally a citrus grove; until the end of the 1700s.
Today, however, the garden style is English, these botanical gardens can boast of native flowers and plants from all over the world: magnolias and bamboo groves, scented xylophilic pergolas, citrus peels, parrots of ancient camellia and tanks full of water lilies or lotus flowers.

Ciao amici di steemit! Eccoci arrivati al mio ultimo post sulle isole Borromee.
Per il finale voglio mostrarvi alcuni scatti che ho avuto il piacere di fare nei giardini dell'isola madre, la più grande delle isole Borromee, che vanta 8 ettari di eccelsa vegetazione.
Nel 1502, dopo che l'isola è stata riscattata dalla diocesi di Novara da parte della famiglia Borromeo, i giardini sono stati in sequenza un frutteto, poi un uliveto ed infine un agrumeto; fino alla fine del 1700.
Oggi invece lo stile dei giardini è quello inglese, questi giardini botanici possono vantare di possedere fiori e piante originarie di tutte le parti del mondo: boschetti di magnolie e di bambù,profumate pergole di glicini, spalliere di agrumi, parterre di camelie antiche e vasche piene di ninfee o fior di loto.
