The best photos on Steemit today! #8

Hi Steemians, thanks for tuning in! It's been a super busy few days for me trying to keep up with work and life, so unfortunately the collection today is a bit smaller than usual, but I think you are going to enjoy it none the less.

I'm going to be doing something new with these posts from now on: contribution payments. I've seen a few discussions on the topics of "feature" "top five" "hidden gem" posts recently and it seems to me it's only fair to repay the artists who have been so generous and allowed me to showcase their work. I usually end up posting between five and seven photos for my best of the day's so I figured that if any of these posts gets up voted past $5 I will divide the SBD equally between all contributors and send it out to them.

My goal really is to bring to light some of the amazing photography that is happening here on Steemit, and I really do feel that some of the best photos posted get totally ignored, so hopefully this can be a way to not only showcase some great artists but also help to contribute to their growth. If you're reading this I would love to hear your thoughts, feelings, and ideas on this. Leave me a comment if you have a suggestion or anything!

This photo is just one of a series that Hive account@earthtodr01d has done involving trees and the mirror effect. It's a fairly simple technique to do, but it's really easy to do it poorly, and surprisingly difficult to make it look as amazing as Hive account@earthtodr01d has with these photos. Third up today is this amazing Cuban twilight scene by Hive account@baodog

I've actually been to this location before so I know it's quite a sight, but Hive account@baodog has done an amazing job in capturing it this way. I love the the aqua blues of the water and the subtle pink of the sunset in the background, the whole image has such an inviting mood to it and I think it's an incredible shot. Go check out Hive account@baodog's post here and give them some some upvotes, this photo really deserves more attention than it has gotten so far!

The fourth and final photo today is this desert scene by Hive account@thebear

This photo was taken in Death Valley National Park, a place I have always wanted to visit, and after I asked Hive account@thebear if I could post his photo he also directed me to another post he had about his trip to the incredibly fascinating Racetrack Playa and I highly recommend you check both out here and here
