Tibetan Yaks are of two types: domestic and wild. Household yaks are small and have thick hair on their body and probably originated from wild Tibetan yak. Domestic yak is used as a travel and similar animal.

Yak is considered valuable for his milk, meat, wool and dung. Wild Yak lives with the most hazard and predators. Their current status is vulnerable.
