Once a way by which they provided for themselves and their communities, the infamous stilt fisherman of Sri Lanka in this modern day, are more often caught on their poles in the tidal wash, posing for tourists for photos and a tip. An interesting trend across the globe, cultural tourism is a driving force in the travel economies of the world, as well as the way by which culture is perceived and carried on.
