So, I was on site yesterday for an interim valuation on one of the projects i work on. The project is a a 32 storey framed (obviously has to be) structure somewhere on Lagos island.
An interim valuation is a process in which the quantity surveyor presents a statement of progress of work done by the contractor to determine how much payment such contractor would be due for. This is in a bid to help the client be at a vantage position when it comes to payment,i.e. he is not paying the conttlractor more than he is due for per time.
The project is still on it's first upper floor.
