Ok, first of all, excuse the link bait: there's nobody haunting me in Valencia (except probably for the cold) and I'm having quite a good time.
Second, there really is a graffiti character spread (virtually) all over Valencia. It reminds me a bit of the Romanian Aeul pig, only this character is anthropomorphic (it has human shape).
In the beginning, I thought it was a coincidence, but then the frequency of these images became really too high to be just random.
For instance, here's Gopo (that's the name I gave to this guy, inspired by a Romanian cartoon character in the 70s) guarding an empty space near the place where we're staying:
But then again, the same Gopo seems to be breaking an entry near a hat store (hat store not shown in the picture):
Another neighborhood, another architectural style, but here we are, with Gopo again, doing some sort of a juggling:
The final touch, Gopo being sliced to pieces by another mysterious character, a lady drinking some sort of a pink juice, in a plaza surrounded by churros and bunuelos.
And I have a feeling this is not my last encounter with Gopo...
