This was commonly referred to as the six days of creation.... sigh It was a long winter.

And so, I reflect upon the times when being rich had nothing to do with money, being happy was merely an outlook, being in love meant forever and ever and people looked forward to Sundays because that was a family day. Today was my big whole family kind of day.

A little bit of strolling about downtown to finish off my visitors before I bring them to the airport. It has been a beautiful holiday with people I love, mostly brothers and sisters and our families.
We walked along the Department of Commerce, with its Neoclassical architecture. Takes my breath away. It never gets old to me. Oh, wait! It is old, having been built in 1927 and completed in 1932. It actually is on 14th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW - and takes up 3 city blocks! So, I always have to reference which part of the building I will meet people at.
I never tire of looking up. The view can be really different from up there. — at US Department of Commerce.
