Climbing mountains has been a very humbling experience. You get to realize that no matter who you are, your needs are the same as everyone else. No matter how rich, no matter how weak, no matter how whatever. You get to realize that the people you meet along the trail, the ones in a tent nearby, everyone, is as equal as you are. Who you are back in the city, how much money you earn, what problems you're facing, where you work, does not really matter. Nobody pays much mind in the mountains to how important you think you are. Everyone shares the same view, steps on the same mud, walks the same trail. Water, food, great company and a bucket full of determination is all you ever need. The rest are just accessories.
