I really enjoy timelapses, and I’m hoping that there will be more great ones on steemit in the future. Especially ones that take it seriously and explore the media. Ideally there would be a community here to share tips and tricks with each other.
I drag my little timelapse rig around Budapest to capture whatever I find beautiful. I’ve also done a lot of macro timelapses in my little experimental photo studio but I’ll save those for later.
So these ones are pretty standard moving day to night timelapse, but I really like how the colors ended up, and the fast paced city feeling in comparison to the gentle river and monuments.
The last of the three was shot on the Danube river in Budapest close to the Erszebet Bridge with the Buda Castle in the background. It took about 3 and a half hours from first shot to finish.
Hope you enjoy it, and feel free to ask any timelapse related questions. I’ve researched a lot of equipment and the math behind timelapses and I’m more than happy to lend a hand in guiding other timelapse projects forward.
The picture is a behind the scenes before I started so you can see the rig i used. It’s pretty handy and can be transported by hand one person.
For the technically minded it was shot on a Canon 6d with a Samyang 12mm using a Syrp Genie motion control triggered by qdslrdashboard. Then compiled and graded in Lightroom and Davinci Resolve.
So please let me know in the comments if you’ve seen some other steemians who are making timelapses or are just into it in general. Thanks!
