Hey dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you had a day that brought some interesting experiences into your life! In this post I would like to discuss alchemy and hope you are able to expand your knowledge.
The Eye of Horus is a well-known and mystical symbol from ancient Egypt and is also considered the eye of the god of light as well as sky Horus and is also associated with the moon while the right eye is considered a symbol of the sun and once the eye was damaged in battle and it was the god of wisdom Thot who healed the eye with its powers. With the moon and the sun, the two eyes also symbolize the principle of duality, which is of huge importance in alchemy and Thot who healed the eye was also considered the protective god of alchemy and also Hermes Trismegistos, who is considered a mixture of the Greek god Hermes and Thot, was considered the creator of the well-known emerald tablets which are also known as Tabula Smaragdina and are considered the basic of hermetic and alchemy. The Horus eye is also associated with light and because it was once healed it also describes the duality from darkness to light or black and white and this path was also linked to the way of enlightenment and according to some occult views, it is also considered a symbol of the underworld and associated with the god Osiris. The Horus eye is also seen as a royal symbol which has been associated with healing or protection and in ancient Egypt there was the assumption that if you carry jewelry with you on which the eye can be seen, people would be under the special protection of Horus and in alchemy, it is also often linked with transformation or restoration as well as the view of the whole which was one of the most important principles of alchemy. This millennia-old symbol also has an important meaning in medicine and was also considered the basis for a prescription and is still used today in medicine as a popular symbol and it is also often linked to the third eye or pineal gland, which is also referred to from time to time as the inner alchemist and is linked to mystical experiences and also the geometric structure of the eye, is linked to the different sensory organs. The complex structure is also sometimes linked to that of the human brain and the geometry was already of great importance and people were the opinion that supernatural meanings or certain messages were associated with it and there should also be some mathematical messages to be found in the structure and in alchemy, it is also often linked to the development of the soul and associated with the spiritual side of alchemy.
