The temperature was hovering right around freezing today. I was working on my computer most of the morning. When I got up and looked out the window it was snowing. The first snowfall of the 2018-2019 season.

First Snowfall
The snow was coming down faster than it could melt on the ground. This snowfall seemed like it would soon turn everything white.
The wet snow also accumulated on the trees which have not yet shed their leaves.
The wet snow was also making the pole leading up to the peanut feeder slippery. This squirrel seemed to be pondering how to get up to the peanut feeder.
A slippery pole was no obstacle for the birds. Various birds were taking the opportunity to eat their fill of bird seed and peanuts.
Throughout the day the area around the bird feeders was bustling with activity.
Toward the end of the day the ground was covered with fresh white snow. And the trees branches were bending from the weight of the wet snow.

Oh yes, if you look closely you can see a squirrel hanging off the side of the peanut feeder!
