Gooood morning guys! It was 3pm when I woke up, because I spend last night/early morning on another photography excursion. I didn't go to sleep at night because the sun rises at 3am, so it's best to just power through the night to see it. This time I went by foot, through the forest and over to the lake, well before the sun was up above the tree line.
This is not a new place to me, but I usually only come here in the wintertime. I was amazed by the scenery that unfolded itself as I stepped out of the woods on top of a hill, so magical. Clear still lake reflecting the amazing colours of the sky and a fog hovering on top of the surface of the lake.
Stupid me only had the 50-100mm lens with me, instead of 18-35mm, which would have captured more of the beauty onto the same picture. I usually limit myself to one lens, in purpose, because I think it forces me to be more creative, get more uniform results, and I don't waste time on changing lenses all the time. I'll just come with the other lens some other morning so that I can capture the scenery more widely in one shot. I got a lot of pictures during the hours I spend here, and I can't wait to share it with you in the coming days.
Here is a little video clip to show where I was taking pictures for two hours. I didn't add any music so you can hear the sounds of nature.
