What was dubbed as a snow inferno in the southern press, didn't warrant being newsworthy in the north. I was quite excited for the heavy snowfall that blessed this earth for a full 24 hours and when it was at it's best (or worse, depending on who you ask) late in the evening, I headed out with my camera.
It was very hard shooting when I couldn't really see through the viewfinder as the snow melted on it immediately, the lens hood was gathering the swirling snow and it was really dark other than under the streetlights, but I thoroughly enjoyed the process.
There was sort of an eery feeling around and that is what inspired these shots.
Shot with the Nikon D750 and Sigma 85mm f/1.4.
