It's easy to ignore the beauty and potential of something that is so familiar to you. It's easy to look over and miss great photographic opportunities, because you are so comfortable in your surroundings, like you are walking with your eyes closed, knowing how to navigate through home without looking.
Today I opened my eyes and really started to see what I have here. I found great spots for photography, interesting items, good light and great textures, just in the buildings in our yard. I actually got really excited to take pictures here, and started planning on some self portrait sessions already.
