And that's exactly what they do! Don't even bother trying to get though them. I am saying that from my experience ;)

Those are Ulex branches I shot about a month ago. The flowers buds are looking nice and are very well protected. I saw some blooming ones and I tried to reach there... but of course they won. Lucky I had long sleeves on.
Apparently they have a reason for that. Those flowers are very much edible ;)
