This place is in the Karakum desert in Turkmenistan, called Gateway to Hell, it was formed after an unsuccessful drilling for gas. When drilling in 1971, all the equipment, including the rig collapsed into the resulting crater, which was filled with gas. To avoid accidents and poisoning, the decision was made to set fire to the gas, and since then, it continues to burn for more than 40 years.
