Howdy!
It's been a busy week, so far. I headed home to Rochester to be a stripper...
Not that kind of stripper! I was helping my mother strip wallpaper, to prepare a room for painting! Anyway, after a few hours of squirting DIF and peeling wallpaper, it was time for one of my Dad's home brews. This was a kit called "Round Table." It is also my contribution to #wideanglewednesday.
Warped Ale
This is a summer ale and is fairly light in color, with a good hoppy flavor. It's a tad on the bitter side, but still pretty well balanced. As for the first photo, I went or ultra-wide and as much warp as possible!
Looking Up!
Check out the head on this one! Sometimes, rogue yeast manages to get in a bottle and can add a little uncertainty to the experience. While there was no violent explosion this time, it was extremely foamy. The odd yeast strain doesn't seem to have affected the flavor at all, though!
Cumulonimbus!
With a little careful pouring, the head almost looks like a cumulonimbus cloud... or maybe an ice cream cone! After a few minutes, it sank back into the calibrated pint glass, reverting to it's tasty, liquid state.
Is There A Genie In There?
Granted it's not the clearest shot, but light was becoming scarce. This is a view through the top of the bottle, focused on the foam below. It's the view you would see, if you were shrunk down to the size of a smurf and attempting to steal a sip. Do smurfs like beer? Hrm...
