With temperatures back below 50ºF (10ºC), the hike to the river was a bit nippy. I was hoping that the cold weather would keep the hikers away from the state park, so I could have the wildlife to myself... and it paid off!
Mr. Beaver has been difficult to get a good shot of, especially with my 70-300mm f/4-5.6 telephoto lens not working properly. I ended up using the 100mm f/2.8 macro. Not exactly ideal for wildlife, but it got the shot! I was out in full cammo, though, so I got a lot closer than I normally can! :D
A kingfisher posed for a shot, too! This time, the 70-300 managed to work. He / she landed on the perfect little perch!
On the way out of the park, the horizon opened up to show a little clear sky.
And now, amigos, it's time to check for ticks!
