As I was driving around a neighborhood, I noticed a bright yellow flower covered tree.
The tree was a yellow tabebuia. This type of tree produces a beautiful bloom once a year for about a month. The leaves on the tree fall of just before blooming, giving an even better view of the magnificent flowers.
The tabebuia is from the Caribbean but has done well in the south Florida climate. As I drove home, I was lucky too see another tabebuia with purple flowers.
