This river runs right in front of a lodge, my favorite retreat that I will still do a write up on. The Mighty Maletsunyane river cuts through the western mountains of Lesotho and as tranquil as it seems now this river can come down with great force. Flash flooding is a common occurance and I have been stuck on the wrong side for days waiting for this river to come down and return to its beautifull state.
Here trying to take a photo of a small Trout fish swimming just beneath the surface catching insects.
Another view down the river in front of the Lodge.
The river runs right into this waterfall called the Maletsunyane Falls.
Truly majestic and shows how the flow of water has changed the scenery over millions of years. Its also know by the locals as "The Place Of Smoke". Coming from the water vapour that rises from the gorge when the river is at full flow with the water plummeting 192 meters into the gorge

I wanted to share some of these pictures so long. A Small taster. A Detailed post will follow on my adventures in Leshoto.
