Portland Plants 11:
Last week was Spring Break for my nephews. When the sun finally showed itself, I grabbed one of the nephews and went out to take pictures of plants. We drove to a nearby neighborhood and went in search of the strange and interesting plants.
While my nephew was probably bored to death, I had a fun time getting these photos.
Enjoy!
I had seen this kind of plant before and called it boring and ugly when it was all the same green color. Now that it's turning black it's a lot more interesting.
Some flowers don't seem very interesting until you look closely.
This is a weird looking bush with flowers that look like confetti.
I believe this is Rosemary. I see these plants every time I go out for photos, but I can never make sense of the flowers on this plant. It's got two little hooks that come out of the flowers.
This is a weird tree that I almost didn't notice at first. I don't know if the flowers will get any bigger.
These flowers aren't particularly weird, but I don't recall seeing them on previous outings.
I take photos of these flowers every time I go out. While I do try to focus on weird and interesting plants, I'm also a sucker for pretty flowers.
These trees get huge!
Here's another pretty flower.
It probably wouldn't be an official Portland Plants post without some Daffodils.
These Daffodils were smaller and grew in bunches.
There you have it! Some photos of plants from Portland, Oregon.
