Portland Plants 6:
Yesterday, I walked to a Pho restaurant fairly close to my home. The Pho wasn't very good (it had a clove taste that I didn't like) and it was expensive (all bowls cost at least 10$). Despite being a little disappointed in my meal, the walk was great. The weather forecast said it would be cloudy, but the sun showed up for my walk and I was able to get a bunch of new plant photos.
If you've been following my Portland Plants series, you'll see some familiar plants. I was able to find a few new ones, and take some decent photos of plants that I've already collected.
Here are some of my photos from my mildly disappointing Pho excursion.
This tree looked like fireworks were going off in it. I can't wait to see what this thing looks like when it blooms.
To me, this looks like a wave of Spring crashing over the Pacific Northwest, splashing everything with new life and color.
More Cherry Blossom type trees.
These things look like clouds on a stick.
This group of flowers was so bright and colorful that I had to spend a few minutes trying to get a good photo. I see these flowers all over Portland, but I keep stopping to photograph them.
I love tiny flowers for some reason. These are pretty neat.
I've seen these little guys in other states. I don't know if they're a weed or not, but I think they look pretty cool.
These flowers are new to me. I don't recall seeing them before. Though I saw more of them during my outing today.
Anyone know what these are called? I like the subtle coloring.
This tree looks like it's bursting at the seams.
I'm really curious about how these things are going to look. Today, I spotted one that's starting to open up. All I could see inside was a bunch of ball-looking things.
I've got more photos, but they're mostly of plants that I've already taken photos of. Since I'm right around the 30-photo mark, I'll stop this post here.
I hope you enjoyed some of the photos. I've got a new batch of photos from today's excursion that I'll be posting soon.
