Just done with my morning walk, and of course I took some photos too. What’s funny is that the shots came out dark and gloomy, even though the weather was actually bright and sunny. The light was there. The morning felt fresh. But the photos tell a different story, heavy shadows, deep contrast, and a mood that feels quieter than what I experienced in real life.
Maybe it’s the angle I chose, maybe it’s my settings, or maybe it’s just the way black and white sometimes exaggerates the darkness. Still, I don’t hate it. The tree bark looks more dramatic, the curled leaves look more emotional, and the small details feel stronger because the highlights are limited. It’s like the photos are whispering instead of speaking.
And that made me think about life too.
Sometimes we just have to see what’s really happening. Because there are days when everything is actually okay, but our mind frames it differently. Like a camera with the wrong exposure, we can make a bright moment look darker than it is. We focus too much on the shadows, or we let one small worry turn the whole day into something gloomy. But the truth is still there, the sunshine is still present. We just need to adjust our view.
That’s what I’m taking from this little set of photos. A reminder that perspective matters, and that checking reality is important. The day can be good even when the frame looks dark.
Anyway, just wanted to share this and say: have a great day ahead, everyone.
