here, 'm to tell to something interesting about incredible india. The festival of Uttarayan(Intetnational kite festival) marks the day when winter begins to turn into summer, according to the Indian calendar. It is the sign for farmers that the sun is back and that harvest season is approaching which is called Makara Sankranti. This day is considered to be one of the most important harvest day in India. people in large numbers gather on terraces to fly kites of various colors to celebrate Uttrayana, the welcome to the sun after the cold winter months.
yestetday i went to kite the shops in the market have piles of kites of different shapes, sizes and colours. The kites carry messages on them. From politics to sports, cartoon characters and superheroes, these kites are not missing out on anything. The markets was choc-a-bloc with people. They were all selecting their stash for kite flying the next day. The market was full of lighting and colourful kites. There was huge varities of kites like Deltas, box shaped kites, cylinder shaped kites, Bi-planes, Octopus, dragon and many more. The colors was beautiful and the designs was amazing.
