Hi Guys.... This blog is bit surprising!.... Because I am here with these cool pics of an olden days' Kitchen!!... :)
Yes my dear Friends.... The Museum (An ancient House)which we visited last Sunday, also had a kitchen with lots of things used in cooking during those days including ovens, big sized drum-like vessels, storing drums and boxes, porcelain containers which we call 'Bharani' here, and so on...
All these things were neatly arranged in wooden shelves, which also reminded us about the life of our grandparents' time!! As they used to live in joint families, the size of these vessels is also sufficiently big!! ... ;) :)
Enjoy the pics....
This is the pile of earthen pots...
They used to store rice like this... It's called 'Akki Mudi,'... Dry grass of paddy was being used for tying rice, resembling a big ball...
Onion and Garlic were stored like this... Tying them in a bunch to the roof... :)
Even few varieties of vegetables were stored like this, to be used during the rainy season....
All these pics were taken using my smartphone Honor.
Will come tomorrow with the pics of beautiful ceilings...
With much love, ...
