A few blocks away from campus are a popular park and lake which is a common place for students to hang out at during the day. Surrounding the lake are these sculptures that I found to be pretty cool and shockingly expensive.
Actually I'm kind of surprised that some punk kids haven't come and destroyed them already. Seems that anything that looks nice and has value is sooner or later destroyed by kids looking to a "have" fun-time.

There are also some water fountains, but since winter is coming they are currently shut off.
I come to this park quite often during the year. In the spring and summer you can rent paddle boards to paddle around the lake in, and during the winter it is turned into a huge Ice skating rink. They also have outdoor concerts and carnivals here that gather a huge crowd.

Photos were taken using the Sony Alpha digital camera.
