I just arrived back from Naissaar which is a small island of Estonia. We went there with friends to do a disc golf contest, enjoy a great sauna and drink lots of beer. Needless to say, I'm really tired right now. I had planned to write an Icelandic volcano post but that takes some real effort, it will be an extensive post but I have no strength for it today.
I still have a lot of content that I captured earlier this year so I will make a short post of one of these cases.
Back in February, I didn't want to sit at home all day. Decided to drive somewhere and hopefully see someplace that I haven't yet.
I found this old cemetery where it looks like all the graves are long forgotten and overall the place is quite in ruins.
The weather was trash and the photos are poor that's why I'm not even bothering to upload these to a photography group.
I don't know what that is but I always have this strange feeling visiting historic, forgotten or old cemeteries. The oldest gravesite I was able to find, dates back to 1814. Many crosses and gravestones were so worn out by elements that these were unreadable.
Many crosses had fallen over and it doesn't look like any grave site was cared by someone.
Buildings in the place were probably used for funeral events but these were in ruin too.
This gravestone reads the 1845 date, not much more can be made out.
Many crosses that had fallen over were collected together by someone but no one probably knows where these belong exactly so they have just collected these in piles.
Here are some more photos I took at the site.
I will try to make the volcano post happen tomorrow if nothing comes up that takes a lot of time from the day, stay tuned!
