In August 2018, i spend some weeks off grid, off road. One of the spots was White Pocket. That is really as remote as it can get even for US standards. You want to go there? Make sure you get yourselfs an high clearance 4x4. Anything less you'll always have to add shovel and lots of muscle power.
The Meteor Jam
Getting there whith a bunch of other lightpainters, you can be sure to come out with some incredible art. Once i get more time i want to edit a short documentation about the Meteor Jam, and i organised. In total we had photographers and friends from 9 countries.
Here are some examples of the Beauty of White Pocket:
here you see Nancy looking up to the galaxy
This is my drunken Mavic with a Lumecube trying to stay afloat. (i flew it just before intoa mountain so all sensors were a bit off)
These shots are single exposures and no composite. Both have not seen the hands of Photoshop. There has been some minior 1min adjustments on the RAW in Lightroom. If you're interested i share the settings.
If you interested in the landscape of White Pocket and surroundings, you can see a "location check" on Youtube
i hope you find this post interesting - please comment iam still learning how this is done here.
