I reached home earlier this morning and had some sleep after taking breakfast, took family out for shopping in the evening and just now as everyone is asleep I am back here on Steemit. I had the best 3 hours on the flight as I wrote and took pictures all the way till we landed, some 9 samples of 5 minutes free writing and 2 stories from this recent travel that i did today.
I of course didn't have in-flight internet access so i thought of writing those on board and posting those once i get home and free. Part 1 is more about the story and less about the pictures. Here it goes,
The best flight I had in my life yet, Left home in time and fortunately realized about not carrying the only thing required to fly, Passports :D Can you believe that? :D fortunate that I realized only at the gas station next to home, unfortunate that I did something which I never did before, I never kind of lost anything before, Its because may be I have been good with all the stuff or responsible about everything ( the only time i can use the word responsible for myself :D ) or I know that 3 taps game where you keep all the compulsory things in three pockets and can tap one two and three after every 20, 30 minutes and never lose anything, heard it somewhere and it has kind of helped me a lot in all my time traveling.
Getting back to the topic, went back and took the passports, picked a friend up on the way to the airport and reached airport well before time (This again is the first time I am claiming this about myself :D ) Another friend who also works at the airport and had his shift, was waiting for me in the departures.
Now Imagine having checked baggage allowance of 30 kgs with 1 bag only plus 7 kg in hand carry but bringing about 5 bags of almost 80 kg :D plus the backpack with all the mobile phones and chocolates and gifts and the all important laptop, I surely costed the airline equal to some 3 normal passengers. Everything was well taken care of and had no hurdles whatsoever, was asked to pay nothing and had to wait in no over weight queues. Yes I would have liked to stay in the queue like other passengers but i was not sent to any queue.
I couldn't complain about being treated that good because it was once my work place and everyone knew me. Could i turn the favor down? that could've left the friend disappointed who worked this hard to manage all this for me, or I could have done it but I would have lost a lot out of what I brought and could have possibly lost some gifts too.
Getting ahead with the immigration and security everything went smooth until i was stopped at the security check for some scissor in one of my bag, which i had no idea of. Later on I got to know that it was one of those chocolate boxes which my friend gifted me, I didn't know if it was a mistake or a prank because all it had was make up tools and a scissor but no chocolates at all :D I kind of offered the security to throw all the box but she insisted me to keep the rest as scissor was the only security hurdle. I was so freaked out of carrying a box full of make up tools that i threw it in the next available dust bin and I thought I will deal with that friend later. This surely was some experience and a lesson too, never accept anything from any friend without checking every bit of it as sometimes it could land you in some trouble at the security checks and leave you with no source whatsoever. What if it had something which could get me into some further trouble? I didn't even know what was inside it and was totally clueless.
Anyways, Lets not think of the only bad thing and get ahead with what happened afterwards. I was offered some nice breakfast at macdonlad's as I never really like the in flight meals. No matter how heated the food is, it just never feels fresh. An Avocado juice followed by meeting some other friends and colleagues who were at work. Had a cup of tea from the famous Bombay Chowpathy and left for the gate, I had already checked 3 of the 4 big bags I had, the fourth one was taken at the gate and i was all free with only a back back having nothing but some gifts,clothes which could not fit in the other bags and a laptop.
I was allotted the best seat in the aircraft too and was well taken care of at every inch of the journey up til then, Then the aircraft took off and as soon as it did it faded in some endless clouds and all i could see was clouds and sun shines.It provoked so many thoughts within my mind
Out of the thoughts I tried writing for the 5 minutes free writing contests, the one am writing now deserved more than mere 5 minutes I thought as it had a lot more to be explained, The announcement that "we are shortly landing" has been made and I better put the laptop back in the bag and take advantage of sitting in the very first seat, only sitting beside the captain would've been any better than this :D
I was so into writing these last 3 hours that i forgot to ask for any meal or even water and now i feel really thirsty, as if i haven't drank for ages :D Its about time that we land and I get to see my mother waiting outside with my elder brother, Will post this as soon as I get free after reaching home. I hope this can be a good read for everyone, I can already see the roads and the green fields and the canals down the window and I can't wait to touch down.
Look at this guy already reaching there before us :D
