Deco Gecko
Dear Steemians,
Today I want to share some pictures I took of a common house dweller: a house gecko (Hemidactylus frenatus).
In some parts of Venezuela, we call them limpia casas (house cleaners).
I have never seen them doing much cleaning, anyways, if by "cleaning" people mean the elimination of pests, insects and the like. To be honest, in my place they are doing a very poor job: ants are everywhere!
They can be very noisy, though. Their cry sounds like a bird's cry.
It always startles me when these suckers do their cry.
I caught this one at an aunt's apartment and it looked so unusually decorative to me that I could not resist taking these pictures.
