Now, I don't really agree with that idea. I think the most wonderful time depends on a lot of things and given all the negative associations made with Christmas, both with this crazy consumerist culture and with religion, I don't know if Christmas is it.
I know it's a very lethargic time for me and given the heavy snow outside (not pictured), it's a time that only makes me want to stay in, listen to music, read and binge TV. A time for recharge, I call it.
Anyway, last week I went out to catch a poetry reading, but I didn't find any more room as the city was super-crowded with the pre-Christmas madness and I got there late. So instead, I spent the evening wandering the city centre and taking pictures of the beautiful Christmas lights (which I have a penchant for).
