Hey Steemit!
I just got back from a recent trip to BC, Canada, where I was working on part of a documentary that we are shooting about the longboarding community. It's going to start out with our small scene here in Winnipeg, then we go on a road trip to BC for the Giants Head Freeride, and show people where the current downhill longboarding scene grew out of.
While I was at Giants Head Freeride, and not skating, I decided to pull out the DSLR to take some pictures. I figured I'd seen most of the action shot angles, so I wanted to do something that showed the beauty of Summerland, BC, where we were. Took a bit of wondering through the bush, and hiking up steep mountain edges to get this angle, but I am glad I did. This picture got picked up by Landyachtz Longboards, who picked it for a contest they are holding, with the grand prize of $2000.
It took a bit of time learning Lightroom to get this picture to where it is, but I'm glad I started to learn it because it has made a huge improvement in my pictures. Maybe one day I'll make a course on what I learn.
Here is the original to compare it to.
