I am blessed to live in Charleston, SC. A beautiful historic city and seaside town. Today I got to experience my first total eclipse. I was lucky enough that Charleston was the last city in the line of totality. I was skeptical about the eclipse at first. It's all the news channels have been talking about. I didn't buy the glasses, but didn't stare directly at the eclipse for any long period of time prior to totality or after totality. Watching the city go black was amazing. The eclipse started around 2:47 PM EST and lasted a little over two minutes. We had tons of cloud cover prior to the eclipse, with rain fast approaching. We weren't exactly sure if we would be able to see it with all the cloud cover. As soon as we hit totality the clouds parted long enough for us to see it. It was AMAZING. Here are some of my shots (unedited).
