July 2017. It was a warm day. A couple of friends and I we went to Evia, not very far from Athens, for accomplishing a mission! It was about a cat! As we are cat lovers, we are able to do even sacrifices for helping our beloved animals. That day my friends' cat was very sick and there was just one expert in her case. A veterinarian specialized in her illness. His clinic was around 100 kilometers from Athens and I offered to transport the cat and my friends in my car as it was really an emergency! We arrived on time and fortunately, the cat was saved! After a few hours in the clinic, we went to eat something by the seaside, relieved as the cat had recovered from the crisis of the disease. It is the place we see in this photo. We can distinguish in the background the bridge over the strait, and in particular, the Euripus channel which is a narrow strip of 39 m wide, 40 m long and about 8.5 m deep, connecting Northern Evia with South Evia, between Central Greece and Evia in Chalkida. I was amazed by the colors and the pure light, so before starting to gobble up the small fried fishes we had ordered, I took this photo for a souvenir from that particular day of summer 2017. I hope you like it and... you love cats too!
