This shot reminds me of those challenging moments in my life when I have faced obstacles: the first time I moved away from family, halfway across the world in the USA, the long months of being jobless and having little money to buy food while doing my master’s degree in Denmark, the hurdles of learning Danish... With determination, perseverance and a bit of luck, I have managed to overcome all obstacles so far.
What I learned is that we should never give up, no matter what life throws at us!
That said, there’s not much of a story behind this shot. My girlfriend was taking pictures of these concrete blocks, and I thought that the contrast between her hair the gray concrete would look cool.

Simple processing was done in Capture One Pro where I increased contrast, saturation and clarity a bit in order to get punchier colors.
