wants to share with you some images from two exhibitions hosted by Cembalo Gallery, Rome.
In the breathless venue of Palazzo Borghese, an ancient villa in the city-centre of the Italian capital, the project “Another look” by Daniele Tamagni takes us to an unexpected and eccentric Africa.
Antonio Biasiucci’s “Epifanie” is instead the result of a spontaneous collaboration among a group of young and eclectic photographers.
Exhibition 1: “Another look”
The project, curated by Giovanna Fazzuoli, tells us how fashion style is used in Africa as an instrument for self-assertiveness and political and social rebellion. From Congolese dandies to the metalheads of Gaborone; from Johannesburg young dancers to the creative social class of Dakar. The photographer Daniele Tamagni has been able to capture the creative essence of each of these communities.
Exhibition 2: “Epifanie”
Epifanie is a miscellaneous collection of photos ideated by the “LAB\per un laboratorio irregolare” group. LAB is a photography masterclass held by Antonio Biasiucci and born spontaneously from the encounter of the artist with a group of young photographers in December 2012. Through biweekly meetings, Biasucci has helped all the components in finding their own artistic paths and in producing their projects.
