Magellan with some Portuguese and Spanish explorers have mainly influenced Christianity to Filipinos in a long time in the history. Magellan has built this historical Christian cross for people to acknowledge his arrival in the Pearl of the Orient Seas and also to spread Christianity all over the country. The cross is put inside a chapel with murals all over the ceiling depicting the first Catholic mass ever held in the Philippines.
