Hi everyone!
Today I made this seven sorrows chaplet design,
- featuring a shield like miraculous center medal
- a Holy Face of Jesus w Immaculate and Sacred Hearts cross
- Amethyst Ave beads
- Sardonyx Pater beads
How is this prayed?
We start with 3 Our Fathers to honor the Holy Trinity
Then there are 7 stations with 7 beads for the 7 Hail Marys to honor the 7 major sorrows Mary experienced
These are:
(1) Prophecy of Simeon
(2) Flight to Egypt
(3) the Loss of Jesus at the temple
(4) Jesus carrying the cross
(5) Jesus crucified
(6) Jesus taken down from the cross
(7) Jesus laid in the tomb
Meditation
Why do we contemplate MARY’S Perspective?
The simple answer to this is “seeing Christ our Lord through the eyes of His loving mother”.
Can we really surpass Mary in her obedience, love and discipleship?”
The answer is never. But through her experiences, these sorrows give us an insight to her view of Christ which is important for us to also internalize.
Another is sympathy, honor and compassion for the blessed Mother of Jesus.
Without her, we would not have Christ.
Jesus could have asked another woman?
Some may say, but Mary was prepared for this moment. Similarly chosen to help save humanity by her YES to the message of Angel Gabriel.
This is why. Let us love our Mary as Jesus loves her. And let us love Jesus as Mary loves Him.
Mary magnifies the Lord, thusly, we learn to love and care for Jesus like a mother.
Color Theory: choosing a violet and red
The violet Amethyst is darker and I think the red orange Sardonyx just really pops and glows around it. I could have chosen a darker red however I think bright red orange is more visibly red in ordinary lighting.
So one color is more muted than the other. I think I definitely appreciate how this turned out.
These pictures are raw sunlight shots. I wanted to preserve the look as the camera catches it. And I am in awe.
Thank you for tuning in another rosary of the day shot 💜❤️
