Hello Steemit!

I just bought an adapter for my Canon 5D Mark III to use a Canon lens that was made around 1980. The old lens is on an "FD Mount" and the adapter connects it to the EF mount found on the 5D.

The lens is a 50mm 1.4F so I actually compared it to the newer 50mm 1.4F to give it reference. The first photo of the following was taken with the 1980's lens and the second photo of each pair was taken with the newer model. I like the feel of it, very dreamy. However, looking at the lens in a light there seems to be either scratches or dust inside of the glass. It could be useful for a dream sequence (I mainly do video) or maybe I should just get the lens cleaned! The following photos were not edited.
