The Birdhouse is Full!
Two baby birds eagerly await their mothers return. These little dudes were vocal, chirping away as I took these shots. I tried to keep my distance to avoid disturbing the nest and I did not want to frighten the mother if she was nearby.
I accidentally left the flash on with the first shot. I did not want to flash the chicks but I like the way this picture came out. It looks like the bird is in the process of giving off a massive chirp. I can't tell exactly how many chicks are in the birdhouse, but I know there are at least two.
I still need to discover what kind of birds these are. I think they are Robin's but I will find out for sure. Luckily this birdhouse is right in my front yard. I will keep a watch on it over the next few days to see if I can spot the mother returning to her babies with lunch.
