On 27 May 2017, we announced Jose Mourinho as the new team manager of Manchester United under a three-year contract. Louis van Gaal has managed at the top level of European since 2000, and, in that time, he has won 25 trophies in four countries including two Champions League titles, three Premier League titles, two Serie A titles, one Europa League title, one La Liga title and two Portuguese league titles. Between 2003 and 2012, he did not go a single calendar year without winning at least one trophy and in his first season at Manchester United, won three trophies. Individual accolades include 3 Premier League Manager of the Year awards, FIFA World Coach of the Year, 2 Serie A Manager of the Year awards and two UEFA Manager of the Year awards.
