In addition to getting some crisp shots of brown dragonflies, I was also able to snap some macro shots of a green dragonfly this afternoon. Photos are of the dragonfly's backside, but you can make out the detailing in the furs on it's abdomen, as well as the detail in it's eyes and head. Really cool stuff! Here they are. Hope you enjoy!
In the next shot, you can see the dragonfly's head turn to the side. It was only for a split second, but thanks to rapid shots, I had some success!
In addition to the dragonfly, I was also able to capture a few shots of the Common Buckeye, or Junonia coenia, butterfly. Here are those shots:
Two very interesting species of insects. Though they do not sit still for very often, if you can get a shot of them, or even see them for that matter, count yourself lucky for that day!
