Table Mountain is a basaltic plateau located in Oroville, California. It is divided into two sections: North and South. I had the pleasure of visiting North Table Mountain and snapping some pictures of the beautiful scenery.
Upon arriving at the top I quickly realized why it's called Table Mountain; It's incredibly flat!
Because of the elevation and flatness of the mountain, many people come specifically to fly kites.
The mountain is covered with all sorts of wild flowers, these are just some of the beautiful ones I saw.
Table Mountain is the remainder of an ancient volcano flow. Because of this, there are a lot of interesting hexagonal rock formations found all around the mountain.
If anyone reading this ever has the opportunity to visit Table Mountain in person I encourage you to do so! It is truly a unique and worthwhile experience.
