It is still going to take some time to finish the date with a 9 instead of an 8. I should have it mastered by this time next year. Ya Ya it’s the New Year blah blah blah I’m just getting younger that is all:wink:wink: Nothing new to see here just me being me and I am going to make this year better than the last. You see there is one very important key to improving each year. Wanna know what that is......
Your going to have to wait until after you see my Super Sweet Smartphone Snaps I took today
Just bear with me and Check out my Silvertone Smartphone Snaps while you scroll down to the bottom to search for the key to this year better than last. These photos I took with my iPhone 7 while I was at work inspecting some powerpoles. Then using the Silvertone filter and a minor adjustment of the brightness, boom this is what I came up with.
Enjoy...While you wait in suspense
Just past this grove of trees is the property line where the two farmers fields meat or do they veggie?? No they meet, and what looks like a good collision too. It looks similiar to the ocean when two waves meat meat....wait a minute...wave and meet...get it...um, well...moving on...
Back in the day they used to number all the power poles with these aluminum numbers. These weren’t even facing the road so a guy would have to get out and walk to the opposite side of the pole to check if he was looking for this specific pole. Back then they didn’t have these cool high-tech things like GPS and System maps that coordinate together so you know exactly where you are. Shoot even with all that I am half lost....or is that 1/2 found????....
As I make my way through this farmers Home property. I notice all these farmers have a lot in common......when in the world was the last time this tractor was used??? I’m thinking back in the Civil war era Dang. Sarcasm...Helloooo The barn on the other hand....it’s just old that is all, but it still looks cool.
Did you know, that local wineries pay a ton of money for old barn wood like that??? I heard that if the boards have the nail holes in them, then they are worth even more!! Are you kidding me?!?!?
Watch out Farmers... your old barns might be missing in the morning...MUAHAHAHA
Recently a local Legend, Drew Bledsoe (QB for the New England Patriots Back in My Day Go ahead check him out my cousin had a high school football experience when he encounted Drew on the field but I will save that for another time) built a winery made of recycled barn wood. Rumor is it cost a pretty penny or two.
Weaving my way through this guys property to get to the good stuff...you know...the poles...Helloooo. That is why I am wondering around this random farmers property. Hey, I am a Lineman, we do this sort of stuff, wonder through stranger’s property in the day or night. No biggie right?!?? You do have to keep an eye over your shoulder or rather eyes in the back of your head. Most people notice my sweet rig parked out front, the one with the flashing amber lights and bucket mounted on it, and don’t ask any questions. Yet there are some that miss the truck with the flashing lights and all and come out wielding a shotgun and yelling, “Why you are here?”...with hands up, just give a yell and show your apparel. Hey some people just want to be left alone, what’s wrong with that??
The back of the property was cluttered with old tractors, motorcycles, bikes, old fuel tanks...you name it. I begin to think these farmers are hoarders????
After exiting the rear of the, Home property, I wonder through grean wheat field. I know sounds kind of weird but the wheat grass are about 2 inches tall. It’s Winter Wheat, that’s what they call it. I just go with it.
This tree was just out in the field, nearly dead...or is it half alive?? I don’t know it just looked cool with the sun working it’s way to sleep in the background.
It was time to start making my way back to shop after inspecting a good amount of the powerpoles. Then there it was, the perfect ending to this post...the train bridge...I think they still use it because there are Grain Silos just down the road rail.
It’s narrow under this bridge, a one-laner, so there is a place to pull over to let other past. The sun was blastin’ at this point and trying to get some snaps of the bridge were tough. I think I am blind in one eye still. Maybe is will be better in the morning.
Either way this bridge is super cool and I am curious how old it is??? I’m determined to find out and when I do, I will let you folks know.
Those are all the Silvertone Smartphone Snaps I have for you folks today. Yes, I did take all those pictures, and I did it with my trusty iPhone 7.
Steem On
And...
See, Me and the Train Bridge
.... the key...
I almost for the key....
A key to a better year than last year.
Silly Silly me
Alright, the key is to leave yourself room for improvement. Simple Right?!?! If it was your Best year, then good luck with that?!?? You have no room for improvement So make some mistakes and learn from them, so next year you don’t make the same mistakes. Therefore the next year will be better than the last.
