Here is my own little twist on the #walkwithme theme.
Last week we had some lovely days here in the Pacific North West! After a job out on Lopez Island removing a derelict sailboat -most recent post- I was able to carry on with the boat ride along our working water front.
- A trash barge full of crushed cars and other debris headed somewhere south. Hopefully the as many materials as possible are recycled.
- A "Derrick Barge" working on the pilings of the entryway and break water for a local marina.
- Two Crowley assist tugs laying over at the Port Dock. Likely getting supplies between jobs.1. item
- A tank barge in drydock at the shipyard for maintenance and Coast Guard inspection.
- A cutting edge troller/processor who's fate is uncertain due to a violation of the Jone's Act during original construction.
- A hopper that loads ships with petroleum cock and sulfur bi-product from the refining process or crude oils.
- One of the oil tankers that calls here on a regular basis to off load their crude from Valdez Alaska.
- A view of the pristine environment that we work tirelessly to protect and preserve.
